A book for all teenage foster children. The author has been a foster child for 18 years, and knows from personal experience what foster children can run into. In addition, the author is a social-pedagogical care worker, so the book also has an educational angle. Foster care offers different types of care when parents are not (or no longer) able to take care of their child themselves - part-time or full-time. Foster care also provides a safety net when a child’s safety and development are threatened. A child placed in foster care can be left with a lot of questions. These are questions that are very difficult to answer from the perspective of the foster parents and social workers. The book aims to answer these questions and offers good information, recognisable stories of experience from foster children themselves and advice, tips and tools. The book will be able to offer many young people in foster care the extra support they need to develop and flourish positively in society.
