Will Yun Lee has teamed with Wonder Street partners Christine and Mark Holder to launch Seoul Street.
The new venture is developing a series for TV and the big screen based on a trilogy of Leonard Chang bestselling crime novels, starting with "Over the Shoulder". "Fade to Clear" and "Underkill" to follow.
The novels focus on Allen Choice, a Korean American bodyguard who investigates the murder of his childhood friend. The trail exposes dark family secrets about his father that are linked to race, class, and the legacy of the L.A. Riots.
The novels were published by HarperCollins and St. Martin’s Press and Seoul Street acquired the trilogy in a competitive situation.
Notizia davvero entusiasmante! Apprezzo molto le opere di Leonard Chang e sono curioso di vedere come la complessa narrazione di Allen Choice verrà adattata per lo schermo. La profondità psicologica dei suoi personaggi merita una trasposizione attenta. Spero che la produzione si concentri molto sulla scenografia per rendere tangibili i temi del libro. Spesso sono proprio questi dettagli a creare l'atmosfera giusta e a rivelare le verità nascoste.
