We are now representing the international rights of Kurdish writer Suzan Samancı.
She is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Kurdish literature, the author of a substantial literary corpus comprising approximately twelve published novels, alongside a significant body of short stories. Some of her works have already been translated into multiple languages, reflecting the growing international recognition of her writing.
Her novel Koca Karınlı Kent (The Big-Bellied City) is one of her major works, and represents only a part of a broader oeuvre that explores exile, memory, violence, and identity through a distinctive poetic and politically conscious narrative voice.
Her writing has been widely discussed in literary criticism and is increasingly situated within global conversations on contemporary political and postcolonial literature.
We look forward to presenting her work to international publishers and readers in the coming months.
