Atmosphere Edizioni
Started in 2010 as an independent publisher of fiction books -mostly translated-, since 2016 Atmosphere have also been a publisher of illustrated books for children. Their proposals are unusual and sometimes bold, like the adaptation for the younger ones of selected texts by classical authors for adults, such as Dostoevsky, Gogol' and Kafka. An operation that aims to make children familiar with authors who are generally considered too complicated for young readers. “Cotton Candy” is the name of this series, rigorously illustrated in black and white.
Atmosphere aims to facilitate access to books that stimulate children’s curiosity while having appeal to adults. They believe it is fundamental that parents and teachers’ interest is piqued by original ideas and appealing illustrations.
A good representation of this concept is the series “Children's Zoo Book”, illustrated fairy tales with parallel Italian-English text, aiming to stimulate foreign language learning, directed as it is to children from early childhood to ages 5 to 7 and an enjoyment for parents passionate for bilingualism.
A third series “AllInAFairyTale” collects the most beautiful fairy tales retold and illustrated anew.
With many series initiatives underway Atmosphere Libri look forward to seeing the publishing grow and mature into a list to rank alongside the best. A full list of their publications is available on their website.
