A publishing house specialized in religion, theology, spirituality, help in life, pastoral, religious poetry and Franconian regional literature, Echter Würzburg was founded more than 100 years ago, on January 25, 1900, with the aim to publish the Catholic newspaper "Fränkisches Volksblatt", which had existed since 1868.
In addition to the “Praise to God” for the Diocese of Würzburg, the scientific-theological series and the theological journals, Echter Verlag today focuses on the publication of religious books and of literature centered on the Franconian region.
