With good theological arguments, Hermann Wohlgschaft postulates the unrestricted equality of men and women - be it in social life, in religious or ecclesiastical areas or in personal relationships.

On the one hand, the book is a praise for the love between man and woman. At the same time, it is a passionate objection to any kind of discrimination against women - not least in the Catholic Church.

The author's criticism of patriarchal systems and of one-sided masculine images of God corresponds to the demand for more "femininity" in the church. The equality of the sexes must correspond to equal rights. The clear yes to the ordination of women is the consequence of this theological/anthropological approach.
