DESCRIPTION:

The "question of power" is the key to the New Testament, indeed to the whole Bible. In dealing with the biblical matter of "principalities and powers" – which many dismiss as mythological talk - Walter Wink shows a new approach to the core of the Christian message. For Wink, Jesus' teaching of non-violence is the key to expose the prevailing evil powers, to transform and to break the circle of violence – beyond pacifism and just war. He thus shows a new approach to the biblical-Christian message, practice, and even spirituality.
