The professor of Colonial History at the Bristol University, U.K., has authored 'African Europeans', an unprecedented recap of the presence of Blacks in Europe since the 3rd century BC.
She deciphers there in particular the creation of racial prejudices.
"The idea that we have to control the entry of Africans into Europe finds its origins in colonial history", she says in an interview to Le Monde.
